Knowledge of an ongoing emergency and the resources available to you are central components of preparedness. Through various methods, UNCG officials continually seek to keep the campus informed, in real time, of any incidents involving a potential threat to our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Just as situational awareness encourages you to be aware of your surroundings, to be informed encourages you to be aware of the University’s communication methods, how they are distributed, what type of information you will receive, and how quickly you can expect to receive it.
The University Emergency Notification System is a communications tool used to notify the campus community about any situation or condition that could threat the safety of individuals on campus. There are three types of messages delivered.
For more information on notifications, view the University’s Notification Policy.
